Hello to you!
This is my first post of 2019. Today is the first of March, starting a series of courageous dialogues.
To you my reader. Maybe you are a friend, maybe you are a co-worker, maybe you are someone passing by to check this blog, etc.
My intention is to have conversations at home, conversations among friends, conversations in a safe environment.
Education and conversations should start at home, move into our friendships to then move to our communities.
I am a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a co-worker, etc. in all the different roles given to me I want to share some of the things I learned at different settings.
There are many topics that we don’t talk about because we may feel shame, they are not worth to talk about, or there is fear involve. Topics like:
· Sex
· Sexual Transmitted diseases
· Pornography
· Sex Addiction
· Sex Trafficking
· Domestic Violence
· Trauma
· Depression
· Alcoholism, etc.
Those topics are hidden behind doors, or sometimes there are long write ups, lectures, instead of organic dialogues about “daring” subjects that our children or teens are learning without any guidance.
Keep in mind that I am writing from a mom, a sister, a friend… perspective. Keep also in mind that I am bias, my worldview is not on fashion, and my viewpoints are against the current culture. I truly try not to follow my feelings because my feelings can be deceitful. My heart unfortunately can be deceitful too.
Looking forward to share my views on some of those daring topics. Come and read me next Tuesday.
At your service,
Monica Evans
