Aging is a thing and I have accepted it.

Even when jokingly we hear/say “40’s is the new 20’s.”

Even when wrinkles become a thing to mask with filters.

Even when white hair goes in and out of fashion.

I am aging, my body says so, even when inside my mind I feel like when I was 20 (Although I forget things a lot, and my memory is weak).

Someone asked me no long ago, if my husband still likes me even when I no longer look like back on my 20’s. Thus far, praise God, he does; perhaps is because my husband loves God more than he loves me hence he can love me with my extra weight, some white hair, new lines on my face, etc.

If my husband were to love me because I were to look like on my 20’s then that would not be love.

We, for the most part will aged, we may be able to slow the appearance of aging with the way we eat, exercise, sleep (the way we go about life); at the same time the moment will come (unless you choose to do plastic surgery) regardless of the outer appearance you will notice the changes in your body.

Seeking the kind of beauty that is not focus on age or appearance (although we are called to care for our bodies), seeking for incorruptible beauty, the kind that is not focus on me or on my strength.

When my desire is to elevate self, the center is me, myself, I.

When Christ transforms my desires then He gets the glory and everyone whom I cross path with will be able to see His grace. I no longer live but Christ lives in me.

… If anyone desires to come after me (Christ), let him deny himself … Luke 9:23

Perhaps that is a reason why is difficult to pursue Christ. We rather pursue ourselves and be alive than to die to self so Christ can reign.

I am aging; you are aging too.

We can aged gracefully, may the Holy Spirit speak to your heart, for your desires to be transformed, that way aging would be a thing on this side of creation but will not be the end of our story.

Envejecer

El envejecimiento llegará y lo acepto.

Aun cuando bromeamos (oímos / decimos)”los 40 son los nuevos 20″.

Incluso cuando las arrugas se convierten en algo para enmascarar con filtros.

Aún cuando el cabello blanco entra y pasa de moda.

Estoy envejeciendo, mi cuerpo lo dice, incluso cuando dentro de mi mente siento como cuando tenía 20 años (aunque olvido muchas cosas y mi memoria es débil).

Alguien me preguntó hace algún tiempo si a mi esposo todavía le gusto, incluso cuando ya no parezco de 20. Hasta ahora, alabado sea Dios, lo hace; tal vez sea porque mi esposo ama a Dios más de lo que él me ama a mí, por lo tanto, puede amarme con mi peso extra, algunas canas, nuevas líneas en mi rostro, etc.

Si mi esposo me amara porque yo me pareciera de 20, entonces eso no sería amor.

Nosotros, (la mayoría) envejeceremos, podremos retrasar la aparición del envejecimiento con nuestra forma de alimentación, haciendo ejercicios, durmiendo las horas necesarias(la forma en que vivimos); Al mismo tiempo, llegará el momento (a menos que elijas realizar una cirugía plástica), independientemente de la apariencia externa, notarás los cambios en tu cuerpo.

En busca del tipo de belleza que no se enfoca en la edad o la apariencia (aunque estamos llamados a cuidar nuestros cuerpos), en busca de la belleza incorruptible, el tipo que no se enfoca en mí o en mi fuerza.

Cuando mi deseo es elevarme, el centro son mi ego, mi yo, yo.

Cuando Cristo transforma mis deseos, entonces Él obtiene la gloria y todos aquellos con quienes me cruzo podrán ver Su gracia. Ya no vivo yo, pero Cristo vive en mí.

… Si alguien quiere ser mi discípulo, que se niegue a sí mismo… Lucas 9:23

Quizás esa es una razón por la cual es difícil seguir a Cristo. Preferimos seguir nuestro ego y estar vivos que morir a uno mismo para que Cristo pueda reinar.

Estoy envejeciendo; Tú también estás envejeciendo.

Podemos envejecer con gracia, que el Espíritu Santo le hable a tu corazón, para que tus deseos se transformen, de esa manera el envejecimiento sera temporal en este lado de la creación, mas no será el final de nuestra historia.
