Gift

Tis the season to be jolly, for half of the world is winter season with that many health concerns plus a virus (that stopped the world sometime between the end of March and April) and continues to change things. 

Christmas is around the corner; some are against celebrating Christmas due to pagans roots, others are okay with redeeming Christmas by using it as a time to celebrate the birth of Christ (the BESTEST Gift). 

In our household we had times when we celebrated the birth of Christ with baking cake, decorating our nativity scene, Christmas tree, gifts under the tree. We also had Christmas without any decoration or gifts.  

We humans tend to idolize traditions, events, etc. It is important to be aware of that and be reminded that in Christ we are no longer slaves of traditions or events, in Him we have freedom. 

For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Galatians 5:13

I fully trust that the work God started, He will be faithful to complete it. The Holy Spirit will convict His children in due time.

For the past 4 to 5 years my sister, her family, our parents, my family try to meet somewhere in the world to celebrate the birth of Christ, this year that won’t happen.

While I am sad, I need to continue to renew my mind. This renewing of the mind is a day by day thing, moment by moment. Sometimes sounds/reads like a broken record. Yet I will obey and find solace in my Lord and Savior, the renewing of the mind with God’s word is a gift, and such a GIFT!

I came to this world with absolutely nothing, NADA, ZERO… so everything I am able to enjoy is a GIFT.

Regalo

Esta es la temporada de felicidad. En la mitad del mundo es temporada de invierno, con el invierno vienen algunos problemas de salud y ahora le añadimos el virus (que detuvo al mundo en algún momento entre fines de marzo y abril) y continúa cambiando las cosas.

La Navidad está a la vuelta de la esquina; algunos están en contra de celebrar la Navidad debido a las raíces paganas, otros están de acuerdo con redimir la Navidad usándola como un tiempo para celebrar el nacimiento de Cristo (El mejor REGALO) .

En nuestra casa tuvimos momentos en los que celebramos el nacimiento de Cristo horneando pastel, decorando nuestro nacimiento, árbol de navidad, regalos debajo del árbol. También pasamos la navidad sin adornos ni regalos.

Los humanos tendemos a idolatrar tradiciones, eventos, etc. Es importante ser conscientes de eso y recordar que en Cristo ya no somos esclavos de tradiciones o simbolos, en Él tenemos libertad.

Porque vosotros, hermanos, a la libertad fuisteis llamados; sólo que no utilicen la libertad como una oportunidad para la carne, sino sírvanse por amor los unos a los otros. Gálatas 5:13

Confío plenamente en que la obra que Dios inició, El será fiel para completarla. El Espíritu Santo dara conviccion a sus hijos a su debido tiempo.

Durante los últimos 4 a 5 años mi hermana, su familia, nuestros padres, mi familia nos hemos reunido en algún lugar del mundo para celebrar el nacimiento de Cristo, este año no sera posible (debido a las circumstancias mundial).

Mientras estoy triste, necesito continuar renovando mi mente. Esta renovación de la mente es algo cotidiano, momento a momento. A veces suena / se lee como un disco rayado. Sin embargo, obedeceré y encontraré consuelo en mi Señor y Salvador. El poder renovar la mente con la palabra de Dios es realmente un regalo, y que REGALO!

Vine a este mundo sin absolutamente nada, NADA, ZERO … así que todo lo que puedo disfrutar es un REGALO.
