Identity and significance

Where is that I find my identity and significance?

• Is it in how others perceived me?

• Is it in my accomplishments? 

• Is it in my selfsteem? 

• Is it in my sexuality?

• Is it in (fill the blank)…

Only you and the one who created you know your heart, the desires of your heart, and the struggles of your heart and mind.

What everyone says

Culture and fashion tells us that we are beautiful as we are, yet the media tells us that to be relevant we ought to have the car, the house, travels, make up, certain shoes. Pretty much lets cover our external appearance to be beautiful or relevant.

Success is weighted by your accomplishments, your career, the amount of money you earned, if it is not money; the amount of goof you do in the world or how many places you have visited, etc.

So there we go; pursuing a career, pursuing a job that will keep us happy, pursuing material goodness, or finding ways to feel good.

Culture, fashion, school, college, often times forget to mention about the difficult times and what would happen when in our broken world we go through difficult times.

What would happen if you loose your career?

What would happen if you no longer have the money?

What would happen if you were to go through the most difficult times in life…

The world tells us to focus in us, self, me, I Happiness comes from me, success comes within, and when we go through the difficult times? Then some chooses to get angry at God, others go through despair, etc.

Let’s not be arrogant

Now there is of course some who may say we are walking with Christ, yet we may have hearts full of pride, maybe we look down at others or simply we choose to be in a bubble of conformity keeping the good news to ourselves and the ones in our inner circles.

If we are what we wear, our career, our successes, etc. that is a heavy load to carry around.

Then comes God, but there are many gods to choose from, how would I know which one is truth? which one is right?

Surrender

Let’s Observe our thoughts and emotions

Keep asking and it will be giving to you

Keep seeking and you will find 

keep knocking and the door will be open to you

Let’s respect and obey Adonai for this is the beginning of wisdom

Let’s choose to renew our mind and heart daily 

If we are created in God’s image and our significance comes from what our Creator says we are and we surrender to His grace, mercy, love, and to His character.

We have the opportunity to follow a Creator who is a God of order, who is firm and remains truth and unchangeable.

There is Hope

Either you believe or you don’t. Either you take what the Bible says or you don’t. Either you surrender or your don’t.

“Yeshua said, “I AM the Way — and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Yeshua (Jesús Christ) is my hope by faith, it is my desire for you, yes you who is reading this to get to know Him, in a personal way, just like you know your best friend.

What YHWH says

I am who He says I am

If abiding in Him

I am His child

I am His friend

I am justified and redeemed

I am no longer a slave of sin 

In Christ Jesus I have wisdom

¿Dónde es que encuentro mi identidad y significado?

* ¿Está en cómo me perciben los demás?

* ¿Está en mis logros?

* ¿Está en mi autoestima?

* ¿Está en mi sexualidad?

* ¿Está en (llena el espacio en blanco) …

Solo tú y El que te creó conocen tu corazón, los deseos de tu corazón y las luchas de tu corazón y mente.

Lo que todos dicen

La cultura y la moda nos dicen que somos hermosos como somos, sin embargo, los medios de comunicación nos dicen que para ser relevantes debemos tener el auto, la casa, los viajes, el maquillaje, ciertos zapatos. Prácticamente cubramos nuestra apariencia externa para que sea hermosa o relevante.

La balanza de el éxito está relacionada a tus logros, tu carrera, la cantidad de dinero que ganas, si no es dinero; la cantidad de trabajo humanitario que haces por el mundo o cuántos lugares hayas visitado, etc.

Entonces ahí vamos; perseguimos una carrera, buscamos un trabajo que nos mantenga felices, buscamos lo material o encontrar formas de sentirnos bien.

La cultura, la moda, la escuela, la universidad, a menudo se olvidan de mencionar los tiempos difíciles y lo que sucedería cuando en nuestro mundo se rompe, cuando pasamos por tiempos difíciles.

• ¿Qué pasaría si ya no tienes el dinero?

• ¿Qué pasaría si pasaras por los momentos más difíciles de la vida …

El mundo nos dice que nos enfoquemos en nosotros mismos, en mi yo, algo egocentrista. La felicidad viene de mí, el éxito está dentro de mi , ¿y cuándo atravesamos por tiempos difíciles? Algunos optan por enojarse con Dios, otros pasan por la desesperación, etc.

No seamos arrogantes

Ahora, por supuesto, hay algunos que podemos decir que estamos caminando con Cristo, sin embargo, tenemos corazones llenos de orgullo, tal vez miramos a los demás como lo peor, o simplemente elegimos estar en una burbuja de conformidad; nos guardamos las buenas nuevas para nosotros mismos o preferimos estar en nuestros círculos internos

Si somos lo que usamos, nuestra carrera, nuestros éxitos, etc., es una carga pesada para llevar.

Luego viene Dios, pero hay muchos dioses para elegir, ¿cómo podría saber cuál es el verdadero? ¿Cuál es el correcto?

Rendición

Observemos nuestros pensamientos y emociones.

Sigue preguntando y se te dará

Sigue buscando y encontrarás

Sigue tocando y la puerta y se abrirá

Respetemos y obedezcamos a Adonai porque este es el comienzo de la sabiduría.

Elijamos renovar nuestra mente y corazón diariamente

Si somos creados a imagen de Dios y nuestro significado proviene de lo que nuestro Creador dice que somos y nos rendimos a su gracia, misericordia, amor y a su carácter, tenemos la oportunidad de seguir a un Creador que es un Dios de orden, que es firme y permanece verdadero e inmutable.

Hay esperanza

O crees o no crees. O tomas lo que dice la Biblia o no lo haces. O te rindes o no lo haces.

“Yeshua dijo:” YO SOY el Camino, y la Verdad y la Vida; nadie viene al Padre sino por mí ”. Juan 14: 6

Yeshua (Jesucristo) es mi esperanza a través de la fe.
